The City's journey towards formalizing its Racial Equity Action Plan began when I encouraged our City's participation in the Council of Governments Government Alliance on Race & Equity (GARE) Cohort in 2019.

Fast forward two years later, and I am proud to have spearheaded the Racial Equity Resolution adopted unanimously by the Mayor and City Council on May 3, 2021.
